Blesys Sherp began around the dinner table, with three heat-happy friends sharing a keen interest in hot sauce and the euphoria of capsaicin. We spent many meals enthusiastically tasting different chillies and admired the brilliant flavours that could be found both in each pepper variety.
Then, one regular evening, we asked ourselves what would our own hot sauce look like?

From that simple musing, we realised that it was bound to happen. We had to make our own sauce and set out to do just that, placing different chilli varieties in the spotlight, allowing their unique flavours and heats the opportunity to shine.
As we did, we paid great attention to the world of speciality coffee, another keen and shared interest of ours, wanting to give as much consideration to product and process when working with chillies as many do with coffee beans.

With that, Blesys Sherp began. Now, we sit around the dinner table not only continuing to enjoy the Scoville and flavour of chilli varieties but also considering how we might use their character in a hot sauce. It is our hope that this continued enthusiasm is clear with every bottle.
Being based in Cornwall, creating in the village of Millbrook, we took on the name Blesys Sherp, which is the Cornish adjective for spicy.
